who states that THE DEFENDANT

It did say "considerably over 60MPH", which would indicate to me, almost 70 odd.

In a built up area, that is quite frankly, retarded.

I'm still not sure if I'm on his ignore list, or he's just ignoring the question. ;)

I think we had this question asked about 20 times when he made the original post about being caught. I don't think he answered it then either.... :)

I'm not going to mention figures, and I'm pretty sure everyone can understand that!

Ask me on MSN if you're that desperate to know :p

Otherwise, draw your own conclusions from what the statement of facts said about my speed :)

Sentence
If you are accused of speeding the police may offer to dispose of the matter by means of a fixed penalty. The offender could be asked to pay a fine and have their licence endorsed by three points.

If this offer is made it should be carefully considered as it is set at a lower level than the potential fine that can be imposed by the magistrates.

If the matter is dealt with at the magistrates' court this is what could happen to the offender:

they could be fined up to £1000 or £2,500 if they were speeding on the motorway);
their licence could be endorsed with 3 to 6 penalty points;
they could be disqualified (if they were driving at 30 mph over the speed limit). The minimum disqualification is 21 days if they are convicted of driving at 40 mph over the speed limit.

Not really, you started a thread you knew full well would rub some people up the wrong way.

You mentioned you "deny the claims" that you were doing the speeds stated without anyone asking, therefore should be able to answer the question of what speed you feel you were doing openly.

Not now you have your summons and are (from what it seems) pleading guilty. Makes no odds now if you tell us or not what you were "supposedly" doing.
It does make odds, as the summons does not provide any information about how fast I have been accused of going other than "excess of 60".

I should think, as an estimate that it'd be between 70-75mph.

PMKeates, out of interest, why were you travelling that fast in a 30?

He won't (and I wouldn't too with the current climate of police checking online forums etc) state because its irrelevant as it'll be an illegal speed anyway and they'll had writing admitting it.

All i'll say is good luck, but tbh you definetly do not deserve a driving license of any kind for a good while at least.
