What do you guys think of these cars?
Currently own a fiesta 1.4 zetec but im wanting to upgrade as ive saved abit of money, 19 with 1 years ncb.

Been looking around, insurance quotes are around £1100, (i had to pay £1350 for my first year on the fiesta! and im ok with paying this.

What do you think of these cars? Been reading a few reviews obviously it's not in the same league as a type r which quotes me at about 6k (lol) but it apparently has very good handling and fun to drive.

One of main reaons is that i will be moving and to commute home according to google maps will be 3.5 hours if the roads are clear!

Really dislike the previous shape civic, feels very poorly built, bits of trim falling off here there and everywhere. Also, with the exception of the Type-R, rather dull to drive.

Better (and cheaper to insure) hatches out there.

Yeah nice little cars......if they were £5k tops.

They are very expensive for what they are. I guess you're looking for ones around...8k ish? There is better out there for a lot cheaper.

Also, why spend 8k on a car at 19? £5K will get you a lovely car if you look in the right places, then when you're 21ish, you can use that £3k you will have saved, sell your £5k car, and buy a nice quick car.

i did find a nice 1.8 golf, mk 4 i think it was, 6k. insurance was about 2.3k... :o im guessing that was a mistake

I just really like the civics and was reading lots of good things about the sport.

Whats the best site for reviews/performance stats etc? Parkers?

Very overpriced for what they are, poorly specified. Suffers from the halo effect of the Type R.

Yeh i get what you mean, the feel are i get is that they are good cars, just over priced? I still seem to like them though lol.

Ill have a look at the golfs and others mentioned. Quick question is the civic sport the same as type-s?

Nope, the Type-S just looks like a normal, mundane civic, just with a 2.0l engine. The Sport looks like the type R, but with a 1.6 engine.

The Civic sports are nice cars, (i'm sure Fox will disagree) but they are definately overpriced.

I still think you should spend a little bit less on the car though. Something like a Focus would be good. Or would you want something bigger?

Been looking even more, im able to get a sport for a around an average of 7k with about 25-30k on the clock.

Whats the SE sport, guessing a lower model? Remember i do have a car to trade in.

Im looking to spend about 4k and then what ever i would get for the trade in, if i need more i will save a few more months, although im looking for around may time.
