Just a quick one lads.

When in crossfire should i be hooking up the additional atx4p1 connector on the abit ip-35pro?

Its says in the manual for additonal power for pci-e graphics cards and such.

But nothing else?

Also the instructions that came with the cards doesnt say to lol.

Cheers

I've improved on my score in the 3DMark06 thread, I just a) can't be bothered updating anymore, and b) have more pressing issues atm ;)

Thx for reply

In my manual it says something abit diffrent:confused:

This connector provides an auxiliary power source for devices added on PCI Express slots

I guess i will just have to give it a go:)

Is this required if just using one pci-e card? Having a clean up inside the case and removing unnessecary cables. Just unplugged it and PC's working fine, but havent tested a game yet. Im guessing its just for a second pci-e card as my 4870 has 2 power inputs.

Yes i have read all the posts thanks, but i just wanted to clarify that its not essential if not using crossfire.
Its easy to make assumptions, but i want to be sure as im going to be drilling my case, so dont want to miss a hole that may be needed and nor do i want to make a hole if its not.
