All PS3 games are region free, so never have to worry about that.
Burnout Paradise is the first game I've bought from the UK since the Summer. All the others (somewhere around 10-12) have come from the States

Had R&C and Uncharted quite a while before they were out here, and both for £30.

I think UT3 wins though.
When did rp2000 and all get it? Over a month ago? It's still not out in the UK yet, is it?

So generally, why wait. Get a game well in advance, and for cheaper than the release date in the UK anyway.

EDIT: just looked on the Rainforest, and it says Feb 22nd for PS3 UT3. £40. I didn't check, but I bet rp2000 and all only paid £30-£31 or so... so you can see the benefit. GTA IV is currently listed for £31.99

With something like GTA though where it is released on the same day. I will order from a UK online shop so will probably get it the day before release. Would it not take ages to come from abroad due to posting times.

Depends.

If GTA IV is released in the UK and US at the same time, I'll probably order from the UK too. I'll wait until nearer the time to order.
The shop I import from has just changed their postal system, so you can pay a quid, and get 1-2 day delivery, or something like that, not looked into it yet.
Usually it's free delivery.

So if it only works out a few quid more expensive to get from the UK, quicker, I'll do that. If it works out a fair bit cheaper, I'll get the US version. Also, the shop I order from has March 2 as the release date. I'll keep my eye on it, but expect it's wrong, as Rainforest America says April.

EDIT: Comparing the two rainforest stores, the UK version is earlier. 25th April vs 29th April! :-O
So again, I'll take price into consideration. I'll check different stores pricing nearer the time, and see what the best option is. Looking likely this one will be a UK order.

Fair enough.
Just did some very quick flicking between online stores.
Two said 25th, two said 29th.

The prices were all around the £40 mark.
So, if they're both released at the same time, I can get the US copy for £8 cheaper. But, I'd have to wait a couple of days.

I'll see how I feel at the time about waiting... see if I have any other games I'm half way through. I bought Burnout, got it the day before release, had a good go then, and not really played it since, as I want to complete some other stuff first.

If I'm in that situation again, I'll save the £8 next time ;)
 
Well for £30 extra they can keep it, it would have been nice for say an extra tenner or something, but not £30.

lol, they can keep it indeed.
To be honest, I'd never look at the art book.
The CD? Best bit of the lot.
A rockstar keychain? Safety deposit box? To be honest, I can live with out it.

I don't need a Rockstar Duffel bag either!

I'd rather keep the £30. Can import an entire new game for that :)

I pre-ordered this last year lol and im going to keep my pre-order even if it is £70 (or less). Some people paid that for the Halo CE with the helmet, which you couldnt use, at least the bag will come in handy, all i need now is that GTA4 cap :). Oh well more money than sense i guess
 
Well I am a sucker for art books, but I'm not sure that GTA's artwork, as beautiful a game as it looks, would get a place on my shelf. It's just too normal. Now artwork for say Mass Effect, that's worthy of an art book.

So normal edition for me methinks.
 
I'm curious. Does the Liberty City in this version bear no resemblance to LC in the two games already featuring it? i.e. no Callahan Bridge or Shoreside Vale?
