Last nights Lotto..

14million combinations of numbers (1 in ~ 14m chance of winning a whole line); if one could actually guarantee one person would win the jackpot (or bet on it), it'd be worth buying those 14million (£14m) tickets for the £4million bonus.

I think the Lotto people would get annoyed with that cause you would win every single prize combination too!

i dont see why people bother with the national lottery, chance of winning the jackpot is less then the chance of winning the euro millions jackpot, and is many times smaller.

Also, as for buying every possibly combination, that doesnt work out too well, because you will only make money if no1 else wins the jackpot, if you have to split the jackpot you could potentialy loose many millions.

imagine walking in the local corner shop and asking for 14million lottery tickets :p

First of all you would need to fill in all those slips. 7 games per slip, means 2 million slips need to be filled in :D
Then the unlucky guy at the till has to put them all through, one at a time :D

Probably take more than a week :P

6 numbers ~ 1 in 14m

5 numbers + 2 lucky stars ~ 1 in 76m

I can see the appeal if it is your only hope for a pension fund. Poor man's tax, tbh.

I've played both a couple of times. Only when there are large rollovers though. Not every week.

Parents do play every week with the same numbers, then buy a couple of lucky dips for if there is a big rollover.

Spent £6 on the Euro Millions and £4 on the National Lottery. Stupid I know but you gotta dream! Fortunately I got my £10 back with 3 numbers on one of the National Lottery lines.

i got £5 on a lucky dip in the thunderball, never played it before until i went to the lottery website, wish id never found it now as i put £10 on my account and got carried away with the little instant win games they have there >_< lol

I look at the lottery like this

A greyhound race with 14,000,000 dogs entered, with each dog exactly the same speed as the others. Now, put money on one and hope it wins :D

A bonus ball syndicate, I do that at my work, how and why would it be against camelots rules.

More importantly, how would camalet know about it, and as camelot don't pay you out for it, breaking their rule would result in what?

The only issue I can think of it the organiser does not have a betting license, however not sure if you need one, as their is no odds?
