OK name this for me and tell me if anyone has seen it.

A masked chick... is either a superhero or fights crime. The only thing is, the mask is the only thing she wears :s

I saw it in a music store while browsing through there pretty good anime collection.

Another one I saw had a girl on the front of the box. Its a series. I think there was a box set or individual volumes. Either way the box art was kinda cool and makes me want to watch it.

Sorry I cant remember the names of people let alone the names of anime lol

I picked up Pretear 3-4
Divergence Eve 1-3 and Samurai Gin 1-4

I need to get Rune Soldier 1-3 (i picked up 4-6 a while back).

The downside of the sale is that apparently ADVUK are looking to change the way they operate and from what i can make out outsource UK distribution/releases to a third party (like Funi does with Revolution).

Started to watch bleach, ive been putting it off since its such a long series, and everything ive watched recently has been nice and short such as elfen lied :)

So this site, are they imports? Region?

How much is postage? (estimate is fine)

For looking up various anime I'm using wikipedia for my research, is there any more anime focused ones where I can be a bit more confident the info is correct?

it's the ADV UK site, they are one of the UK distributors and a sub division of one of the largest US anime companies ;)
They are R2 UK, postage is free on the sale disks (although can be slow).

As for sites with anime information, as a general rule www.animeondvd.com is very good for information on us/uk releases (and has links to all the english publishers/distributors), and www.animenewsnetwork.com has a wealth of information on most anime (possibly not as detailed as wikipedia but I suspect at least as accurate and it also has an encyclopedia of the various cast/crew as wel).
 
Of course whilst the ADV sale is good its a bit of a shame some of the other stuff is being put on hiatus while things are sorted out, (e.g. OMG Series 2) ...

If they fix their server (I'll take a look if they pay me in Anime :) ) there a few sale things there I could be interested in :)

Boy that's going to bug me ... I know I have seen this DVD in one of the high street shops but can i remember what it is .... :rolleyes:
 
haha, It was a big music store and I really wasn't expecting to see something like that. But yeah I will probably watch it at some point for a giggle. That's as long as it's done in a funny way and it's not hentai. I have porn for that kind of stuff lol.

Anyway loopstah knew what I was talking about so he's probably watched it! Go call him a perv :p

I remember seeing it and thinking ... oh dear ... (goes back to reading Feb's Megami magazine ... well readings to strong a word ... looking at the pictures is more accurate :) ).
 
Cheers for the bump. Gah there's nothing on there which takes my fancy. Plus they just seem to have random volumes. Really had my eye on Cutey Honey but its gone. Oh well.

If anything like this pops up again be sure to tell me :D
 
I've ordered 5 vols of Gilgamesh (1+7 are oos) and the new Fist of the North Star dvds, for £2 each you cant realy go wrong. Pity so much is OOS now I would have liked to buy Rune Soldier and Last Exile as well.
 
TRSI have got one of their 10 for $50 / 25 for $100 offers on for ADV DVDs.

Thanks to the cash I've got from all my selling I was able to finish off Detective Loki Ragnarok and get all but Vol 7 of Macross as I already had the boxes.

Not much else I was after seeing as most of the stuff is available as thinpaks now.
 
Watched a few different things at the weekend. Watched the first few episodes of H2O, Footprints in the Sand and also True Tears. Both series look like they have potential but aren't really far enough along yet to tell for sure.

Also watched Kanon which I thought was very good although how some of the characters didn't die from dehydration given the amount of general happiness through the series I don't know :)

Am now rewatching Azumanga Daioh. :D

Still only half way through Azumanga Daioh, I find it hard to get in to the nicey nicey anime, same with Gunbuster was put off by the story line and silly cutsie characters by the end of the first episode.

On another note has anyone heard if they are going to continue Air Gear? I thought it was supposed to start again last year but still not heard anything as yet.
