SHOPPERS cheered as a traffic warden stuck a £60 ticket on an illegally parked £1million Bugatti Veyron.

A crowd gathered around the car, which does 0-60mph in less than 2.5 seconds, when it was left in a loading bay.

But then the warden appeared and to their delight ticketed the Veyron – like one Simon Cowell owns in LA.

The driver, in his 30s and wearing jeans, trainers and a hooded top, can get away with a £30 penalty if he can be bothered to pay in two weeks.

The 235mph car, reg BUL 5, got a ticket last year in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, where Man U stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Michael Carrick live.

The latest incident happened in Manchester city centre.

It's said the driver later paid the fine with some loose change stuck to the bottom of his shoes... ¬_¬

Interesting response from the crowd. Why did they cheer because a Bugatti Veyron got a ticket put on it? It's fair to say no one would have paid any attention if it was a Ford Sierra

It just shows how people see someone they want and get jealous, and when they can't have it they want to see the owner take a fall instead.

Human nature?

Dodgy numberplate, illegal parking. Not the first time he's been done? 3 strikes. Crush the hideous thing :D

Aye spotted round our area not so long ago.

I want to know which footballer owns a White Ford GT with blue stripes.

Looks like its in Manchester town centre where all the rich ******** live. I was under the impression that was Tim Cahill's veyron.

Look at the other side of the car. ;)

InvG

The driver doesn't isn't wearing a hooded top by the looks of it. Irrelevant and pedantic anyway :p

Seen this knocking around a few times, mmm.

The reason why people were cheering probably was jealously. That and the ultra rich with cars like this tend to think they can park where they like. Personally I don't blame him, I'd park my Veyron there too :o

It was in Manchester city centre, it was on Scott Mills show on radio 1 yesterday because the driver looks quite like Scott :D

Yeah, it was outside the jewellers (opposite Habitat) just off St Ann's Sq. Normally find Astons, Lambo's and the like parked up and ticketed there.

If i'm honest though, say the car was mine and i was going into the centre and it's a chioce between a £30 fine or paying £4 for the privilege of parking on Tib St car park which gives around 1ft of room to open your door before it hits the neighbouring car, I know which i'm going to choose.

Sad gits with nothing better to do. I'm going to start a rave at the scene next time I see a Ford Focus get slapped with a fine

Still I doubt he's bothered by the fine, I'd be more worried about the grubby finger prints from the crowd and their kids.

To be honest if I was there I'd have not been jealous and instead just licked it. Then I could proclaim that I'me the only person to have licked a Veyron. How awesome would that be?

It's Oliver Morley's car. Property man.
You may remember his brother being in the news during the Gumball (the crash that killed an old couple).
