How many people in here dont have a job?

Just wondering really, being unemployed myself at the moment just wondering what percentage of the forum is employed against what percentage isnt (and are not in full time education)? its pretty annoying not being able to find the right job just would be nice to see others that are in the same boat :p could maybe even make a poll?

I have never been unemployed since I got my first job on my 14th birthday. I couldn't face being unemployed. If at any stage I couldn't find the "right job" as seems to be the most common excuse for unemployment, I got a temporary job doing something else. There was ALWAYS something. People who claim there are no jobs are lying.
 
What kind of work are you looking for? It can't be that hard to find some sort of job to get you by.
 
oh Im not saying there are no jobs around, I most certainly could get a job to get by on but I'm looking for a career and have no actual need to get a temporary job, (although I may end up doing that) Im investigating various apprenticeships I.T jobs and even looking into the police! I havent been out of school more than 6 months and have been out of work for around 4 of those months, (but working on and off during those 4 months)
 
I work one hour a day as a dinner lady but have also been going into school as a volunteer since september, hearing children read and just helping where needed, this has paid off because i have just been offered a position as a teachers assistant.
 
Nope, never been unemployed since getting my first job on leaving full time education.

If you can type then you can get a basic office job through a temp agency within a few days.
Do this to at least get some money coming in and then look for a better job while you are doing this.

Pretty much agree with that. Well, apart from the working since I was 14 part. :p
 
i've been employed since i was 14 to. i sometimes wish i had had a year out after i finished my a levels and done some travelling but im only 19 so i have plenty of life ahead of me yet :)
 
Not stopped working since I was 14/15.. Paper Round > Job at the shop where I did the paper round > Job at ASDA - still working with ASDA whilst I'm at university. I'm now 20, and hopefully I can get a job after uni.

Thats one of the reasons I dont want to get a permant job at the second, I have already done some travelling over winter and am looking to go away for another 2 months over summer I have had a job ever since I was 14 so its not like I havent worked before, the reason I dont currently have a job was because I left Waitrose where I was working at school to leave to work at an airfield which was going great until they sold the company, I took that as an oppurtunity after I finished school to go travelling I probably wouldnt have gone otherwise but very glad I did :D and am sitll going to.
 
I don't have one. Don't think I'm self-motivated enough to manage a part time job and final year uni at the same time.

I was out of work for about 2 weeks, whilst i was looking for a job after taking voluntary redundacy. Although technically i was on gardening leave, so i dont think that counts?
