Veyron + Parking ticket

Hey, hows it going? what you driving about in now?

After writing off the MR2 I went with the Scoob, much easyer to keep on the road! :p Need to catch up some time.

You still got the scoob? Saw you at Tesco Kingsway a while back but you had the blinkers on :D

Sold the 2 a few years ago, bought a Lexus, sold that for an Audi A8 which I just sold recently, about to order either a new Golf GTI 30 or CTR :)

I don't understand why wearing a hooded top and jeans is relevant, what do you expect him to wear, a suit?
They don't seem to be enjoying the attention either lol.

It's not, which is why I even said it's irrelevant and pedantic.

Basically if you didn't notice the reporter got it wrong and assumed the guy in the hoodie was the driver were in fact it's the other guy as it's LHD.

Dunno why you thought I expect him to wear a suit, I made absolutely no suggestion that there is anything wrong with wearing a hoodie...

Could it be that possibly they weren't jealous **** (or whatever they've been called above), and that in fact it was just quite funny seeing a million pound car getting a parking ticket?!
No.

People in this country are quick to demean people who are more well-off than themselves. I'm sure if all of those people clapping and cheering could afford one, they would buy one.

If it was the same situation in Italy or France, people would gather and admire the car and driver. Yes they would be jealous, but wouldn't gather in a pack and cheer as someone stuck a parking ticket on it.

I'd hire guards to follow me around, and any time i parked it, they'd have to set up a perimeter around the car

When you have got this sort of money you would park where you like and just pay the pethetic £30 fine on the odd occasion you got a ticket, it beats parking your Veyron in an NCP car park.

What's wrong with it? S/he's way sexy!

It took the LOL from andybtsn to make me look at that a second time :D

No, thats an even more bizarre comparison. A personal has no material value so its not even in the same context!

It doesn't matter! £1mil car £60 ticket. it probably cost him that in petrol to get from his house. to get back again another £60 so a quick spend of £60 in between is nothing.
Of course it's funny but not because of being jealous.
I am jealous because I would say that everyone in the forum (including me) will probably never drive a car like that.

miscommunication there, I was just expanding on your point :p

I do like the colour combo on that Veyron.

Looks to me that Garry Megson was about to jump in the drivers side :p :D

Anyone actually seen Tim Cahil with 'his' Veyron? I doubt that he has one.
