Anyone got this? Thoughts?

My thoughts are the best song is the one you've heard on myspace 'scream aim fire' and once you've listened to the first 5 songs you've heard the whole album really.

To much soft singing aswell.

I think Metal Hammer gave it 5/10, I have to agree.

pfft.

Was quite cool when Jo Whiley played Scream, Aim, Fire on Radio1. That double bass and heavy riffs will have upset a few people haha. Never really been a massive fan of Bullet, always found them slightly headache enducing. Might give their new album a whirl, see what it's like.

My skin crawls simply from reading their name.

I really wanted to see Skindred again... :(

Why did Skindred have to support these muppets. Why lord? Why?!

I believe I listened to their album at work today [via a colleague's iPod].

I know absolutely nothing about whether it's cool or not to like them, or whether they're a [collective noun] of [genitals]. I don't have a TV or listen to Pick Of The Pops or anything like you trendy scene-hipsters, so I had no pre-conceived biases, other than a slight "hmmm..." at the band name.

I thought it was okay, actually. Reminded me of a cross between thrashy Metallica and AFI. Not brilliant by any stretch, but not ****.

Today I also listened to the Scouting For Girls album. Now that was ****.

lol yea these poor indie fans don't know what Double Bass and Pinch Harmonics are, probably think they're done by a computer ;)

Their first full length album was actually very good I think its called 'The Poison' much better than the new one.

The lyrics and vocals in general on the new one sound like pop crap, although I know the vocalist has had quite a lot of throat problems that has probably played a part. Still, dissapointed.

I feel the exact same about this, when i heard skindred were touring i thought great, get to see them for the 3rd time, checked it out and found out bfmv were supporting, it upset me. Might just pay the £17.50 to see skindred anyway :)

In relation to the context of the thread, i dont like the new bfmv stuff, when they first came out with hand of blood and that other one i liked them, but not now.

Listened to the title track on myspace.

Dull, turgid pap.

Shame really, thought Cries in Vain from their EP (yes the one with the wrong track listing) was alright, didn't stray from formulaic in any way, shape or form, but was enjoyable at least, unlike "The Poison" which made me think the album only had one track it was that repetitive. :(

The Poison has about 4 songs on it that are better than Cries in Vain, whats so good about it that makes the songs below worse?

Her Voice Resides
Room409
Spit You Out
The End

not listened to it yet, but i like the one that is being played on scuzz/kerrang and liked a few form their last album

I love "The Poison", not too much on this new album - it's a poorer representation on what they're better at.
