.....and Abit IP35 Pro motherboard.

Does anyone else on here have this memory/motherboard setup?
I cant get my pc to work with both sticks installed...it only works with one 2GB.
Ive tried swapping them around but no joy....i would like to confirm that the stick is duff by sending it to someone on here to try in their system?
Anyone willing to offer? Obviously return postage will be paid for.

i take it one stick alows you normal operation when its installed on its own, so what happens when the other stick is on its own, does it clear post, hang or give you an error, if so what code does the mobo give you?

Hi thanks for reply....with one of the sticks its fine with 2 sticks in there it doesnt post. There is a code but im at work at the mo so will post back later if need be....actually looking back on my previous posts on this issue it looks like the code might be C3?

if both sticks work independantly of each other but not together the MB could be a possibility.

what timings are you running them on?

What voltage are you running the memory at?

If it is set at the default it will probably be at 1.8v approx.

This mem is rated up to 2.1v

Possibilty one of the sticks doesn't like the low default voltage...;)

as above, mine are running at 2.1, having read the thread i get the gist now, from your post i thought both were running independantly. def sounds like a faulty stick.

just RMA it

Yeah sorry for misleading you! One works on its own but the other doesnt....

Im not familiar with rma'ing. Presumably I return both sticks in the original packaging to ocuk..

EDIT @scamartist I tried upping the volts to 2.1v no joy....and for that matter, adjusted the timings...nothing. (cheers though!)

Hi Nossmayo, Is this the same 2 sticks of Ram that you had at about 14th Jan when you raised the other thread?

If one works on it's own and the other doesn't then it's knackered. Have a look on the OcUK website for the RMA info. You'll need to send both back to them and you'll get a replacement. Might require a phone call to OcUK. Don't send it until you have an RMA number.
