Not true HDR - but messing with software.

My first sort of attempt at HDR with the software, although it isn't done 'properly'.

I don't have the time right this second to go out and take a few shots, but I had 10mins and just wanted to test it on a JPEG! (yes a JPEG, and only one) I adjusted the brightness and contrast in both to create the under and over exposed shot.

It didn't really come out too well, but using the software seems ok, I think I need some more practice. I had to use a program to get rid of the noise!

:o I'll do a proper attempt when I have 3 RAW files!

Thats a pretty good effort considering its just one file to make that pic.

Nice - I found a website where some bloke has taken loads of shots of all the gaudi archtecture in barcelona I believe and the colours are stunning... not sure what kind of exposure hes using though... :)

will try n find it later..

First one: pointless, no need for HDR it hasn't achieved anything at all.

Second one: can't see the after shot :p

Having some problems exporting from photomatix, the after shot appears crisp and sharp in photomatix, but the exported version is very blurry???

He's normally in Bournemouth, just down the road from me, so :p

I like the beach shot (I'm sure I could get Bournemouth to look like that - I meant that), also like the house one. The colours are much more vibrant and make the images just that bit nicer, the original just looks washed out in comparison. :)

Haha, I dont live anywhere near you? What are you talking about? :p

You probably could get bournemouth to look like that, a lot of beach shots tend to look the same.

Yeah I'm happy with the house shot, but i've been told it could have been done without using HDR techniques.
