Notice that my Temps are totally different on core temp, is this because the CPU might be fitted tighter on one side , or is this normal for Quads ?

core temp = 69 60 60 67

Q6600 @ 3.5Ghz on air

Makes me wonder ig I could get them all down to 60ish I could no doubt get some more out of it

it's because your chip isn't flat (or your heatsink, usually both)

lapping reduces the difference, but even then cores 0 and 1 are often different to 2 and 3

well that makes me a little better. The thought of taking my PC apart and lapping or something and it not doing anything would put me in a mental home

Using the standard HS that came with it I have a Core Temp of 34C at present. The 4 cores seperately read as follows: 45C 46C 47C and 40C idle using many background tasks like Invisitasking from Diskeeper 7 utilisation depends on the task but overal I'd say including typing this at Core I am using barely 25% of the CPU time.
It sounds like you have a heatsink problem there and it needs reseating properly. The average for a Quad at stock is 40C no higher at idle.

He has clocked it out to 3.5GHz on air, those temps are about right, right?

I wish I was brave enough, knowing my luck it wouldn't work afterwards

A 7 degree difference across cores is pretty normal.

i have core # 2 on my quad which always runs 6/7 degrees higher than the rest.

Nothing to worry about :)
