Basically when I get my new phone I would like to use MSN quite a bit.

I'm guessing it won't use much data, but I'm not quite sure.

Does anyone have any experience with this and Vodafone?

Hmm...

The thing is this is the decider between Three and Vodafone. I've always had good service with Vodafone and have no real reason to swap apart from the on-line usage.

I really want a 12 month contract but both deals are 18 month £35 and £30.

Three:

Mix and match 300 + N95 8GB

£30 quidco

Vodafone:

500mins/ 500txts/ first 3 months £17.50 (full price £35) + N95 8GB

£90 off via quidco

I doubt I'd use so many minutes/texts but it works out cheaper than Three.

Well I don't absolutely have to have it...but it seems handy and Three seem less restrictive with browsing full stop.

Kinda thin ground but get the unlimited data package, and get the ebuddy beta client, its just port80 traffic sir (which at both ends may result in an IM of some sort) ;). So what do they care? I use it when i really need to with t-mobile and its worked so far :D Otherwise its turboMSN and wifi for me...

Yeah but I'm worried about Three's CS - I've always been well looked after at VF

That a joke? if you need anything other than bill printing etc voda is a joke, i know the muppets that work in the call centres and how bad they are, since i used to be one of them, not a clue what to do since the training was that bad.

Up until today I would have argued your point, however..

Yesterday night I ordered the N95 8GB from Vodafone. Get an email at 3pm next day telling me to ring a number and verify my age. Lady on the phone tells me I have to fax a scan of my passport through to them and ring back in 20mins. Why can't I email it? Luckily I have a fax machine...

I do this and some bad ass sounding cockney **** tells me that they shouldn't have told me 20mins and I need to wait another hour at the very least. I ring back in an hour and apparently there fax system is down but will be working again in half an hour. I ring back later and it's still broke, once again I'm told it will be fixed in 30 mins. Surprise surprise when I ring back It's still not working, told to wait till tomorrow before trying again.

Fantastic.

Had to phone CS a couple of times and never had a single issue what so ever. Always extremely helpful and sorted the problem very promptly.

Yeah but I'm worried about Three's CS - I've always been well looked after at VF but their internet policy just cannot match Three's.

Moved to 3 last week from Orange on the n95 8GB £30 deal you mentioned and had to phone cs a few times - port my number, sign up to xseries silver data package etc. Foreign call centre and a bit hard to understand at times, but dealt with everything just fine. They're excessively polite tho! :D
