Here's my new Jeep a 1.6 Suzuki Vitara purchased by me Not half hour ago for 80 Quids.
Needs attention to the rear arches but nowt i can't do myself. It drives great & feels pure luxury compared to my Sammy & the 1.6 pulls much better over all. A proper roof, decent heater, leccy windows & smooth as you like on the road. It won't be nowhere near as capable as my Sammy off road but all in all i am Chuffed to bits. Even come with Tax till April, Lol. So i am back on/off road with a good few hundred quid in my pocket for future deals. All is good in my World.

How the heck did you get that for £80 ? :P

Its worth that for scrap alone !

Worth more than scrap with the Tax ;) 30 quids worth of tax & an easy 80 quid weighing it in for scrap :D The price of scrap is going through the roof at the moment & it's going up again tomorrow

Not a Jeep then is it, if it's a Suzuki Vitara?

:p You carry on mate, You know best a :D

Can the Pedantic people just **** off. How about that.
The jeep is there if you have nothing decent or constructive to say just **** off to another thread & take your BS with you.

Whoa, got tetchy much?

Why not just title the thread as "My new suzuki"? As much as you want to call it a Jeep, it isn't. If you had titled the thread "My new landy" it would be just as wrong.

Anyway, looks like a good purchase for £80, is there anything else wrong with it other than the arches needing treating? Engine a peach?

Ooookay. Put down the keyboard, step away from the computer and just simmer down for a few moments princess. My jeep/Jeep point wasn't meant to irritate you, it was just an observation that "Jeep" is a brand and "jeep" has become the generic term for an off-road vehicle.

My, aren't you a charmer?

***edit***

Okay, I'll add something constructive. £80 is a bargain, even with the arches needing work.

@paradigm
Hi mate. I don't give a flying **** what anyone else wants to call it I'll call it my jeep regardless. What ***** me off is people coming into a thread with no real comment just a dig or a snide remark or some BS like above.
I post to share my life with my friends or other like minded people, Those that don't want to share should just Jog on. I haven't the time or the patients to deal with such people.

As far as the jeep, The sills need a little work but I'll patch them & then cover it with the Plastic sills that the jeep come with. I'll clag the arches & then attach plaggy wheel arches over the top to hide any imperfections. It had a sunroof once as well that has been taken out & welded up, That'll need a little grind & some paint. It also needs the rear shoes changing but i got a new set thrown in with the jeep. I s'pose all in all it'll be done by the end of the week weather permitting.

That's the best £80 I've seen spent in a long time :)

You should have got a Daewoo Nubira though.

P.S - I'd probably call it a jeep too - just like every other 4x4... A hairdressers jeep tho :P

When does it need its next MOT (assuming it has one now?), I take it that it will pass without much major work?

Got any closeups of the bits that aren't "spot on"?

:p I'm going to stick a Special pair of scissors in the jeep & take on any work i can get :D
What's all this Daewoo business anyway, That's the second time it's been mentioned. Don't make me go search just tell me.

I've only got those pics i took just after rinsing it over. No MOT but it will have one by Wednesday no bother, last one ran out on the 18th of Jan 08.
It'll never be perfect & hasn't got to be, Tidy will do me & it'll look well tidy by the end of the week with the plaggy back on it. Driving it is a dream compared to my Sammy, loads more power & so much smoother & warmer

Yep Plastic. I think I'll get 4 Land Rover 90 arches & stick those on.

Apologies for being a **** earlier in my posts. I've been out on the yard all morning in the cold, been in about an hour & haven't calmed down yet. I was much to short & abrupt.
My Apologys to All :)
