Thinking about getting the above spanner set to compliment my 150 piece socket set, are they pretty useful? I am guessing they are but thought I'd asked for opinions before actually getting them.

They other thing I'm after which I'm not even sure is made is a telescopic breaker bar...

You can definatly get telescopic breaker bars. Ive not used the flexi head rachet spanners, but the standard ones are great, which I assume you have some already in your 150piece set?

Yeah, just thought the flexi heads would be useful.

I've found one 12"-16" telescopic breaker bar, wondering if there are any cons with it as I'd have thought there would be more?

I have a telescopic breaker bar that I bought from Halfords, so they can definitely be found! They are very handy.

As for the ratchet spanners, I'd say go for it. I have used the normal ratchet spanners(with no flexi head) and they were brilliant.

I quite fancy a set of those flexi head ratchet spanners but I already have a full set of regular ratchet spanners that weren't cheap in the first place so not sure if it's worth the extra spend. Struggling to think what else I'd want with the massive amount of halfords vouchers I have gathered from birthdays etc!

My friend has these (we both have the 150pc prof halfords socket set as well) and found them very handy when changing the turbocharger and gaskets on our 200sx's, I think they are worth having if you work with limited access areas on cars.

they dont work for accessing the two sump bolts that are hidden under the flywheel on AGU engined VAG cars.

i took them back, i didnt think they warranted £50

They are great , perfect for the tight space on the VX I have found.

The ratchet action is good for getting the undertray bolts off pretty smartish
