Well I guess team death match etc counts? Still two players working together.
Definately. Wasted many hours of my life at various LANs on that game. Awesome split screen gaming. Sheer awesome.
The original Settlers on the Amiga was quality in split screen mode
Streets of Rage 2/3 were good but they were not split screen games
Gears of War and Rainbow 6 Vegas are both great in split screen
Halo 3 is possibly the worst split screen game I have played due to it refusing to fill the entire screen

Oh man I forgot all about those. Four player Desert Storm on the Gamecube was brilliant. Bit of a rubbish game if looked at honestly, but once there was a group of you, it was ace.
Thats not split screen though. Just multiplayer. Everyone on one screen.
I had some friends round once and most of them were stoned* and playing this game. Was a pretty kick ass night.
*not me. I have broken lung lol.
