eBay to ban negative seller views!

There are dodgy buyers - as well as sellers...... But according to eBay, there are more bad sellers.

what a load of rubbish.

Just last month I sold a laptop on ebay. I specify in all my auctions that I do not accept Paypal and only accept bank transfer or cheque. The guy used buy-it-now and said he would send me a cheque. 2 days later he tells me he doesn't want to send a cheque because there's no guarantee that I'll send the laptop and he wants to pay by Paypal! I said no, I don't take Paypal as stated in the auction.

Now I have to file a non paying bidder alert, ask for my fees back and then relist the laptop. I left him a negative.

It's to stop the widespread "feedback blackmail" than has become almost standard now. A buyer leaved neutral or negative feedback and the seller leaves his own neg along with an immediate "request for mutual feedback withdrawal", essentially meaning that unless you do this withdrawal the scumbag seller has tarnished your feedback for no reason other than he didn't like your neg. I had this problem twice now, as recent as last week.

I can't wait for the changes to me made.

i understand your side of this story but also his too, as whats to say you wont cash the cheque and send him nothing?? whats wrong with paypal anyway??? yeah you pay so much to paypal but most cheques you pay a fee too.

Scandalous, its not just about paying on time, i've had buyers take the P and try and get a refund including postage! for something they lied about not working! whats the point of having feedback if you cant leave negative? It should be made so you can't see the feedback until both parties have left feedback. This would solve the "tit for tat" problem.

My auction clearly states "I do not accept Paypal". There is no side to his story. He's a moron.

If he wants to pay by Paypal then he should by a laptop from a seller who accepts it.
