i think i got a bit caried away with selective colours when processing these!

I like the style, bet I can never understand what you would do with pictures like these. Do people honestly print and frame this type of picture and then hang them on their bedroom wall?

Just a question really, like I said I like them, just not something I would personally print

Not everybody has the same tastes though, and not everybody takes photos only for the wall. This kind of photography appeals more to my explorative and inquisitive side instead of the art appreciation side. At the risk of contradicting myself, the fact that theyre very artistic helps of course!

X-Ray dept is by far the best imho. Nice skills :)

thanks, i was worried that one wouldn't come out - friend of mine walked past as i was taking it, but with it being a 20second exposure he didn't show up :D

How did you process number 3? :)

i used lightroom, overexposed it and then used the other levels to 'bring it back down' then tweaked vibrance and saturation of the different colours. similar to what i did processing this set;

i love the style you have developed gex mate, nice set sir

thanks :)

The photography is second to being in these kind of places, the pictures remind me of being in there, what i've seen - what the places used to be like. Often they are snaps of what you'd never normally see, and that does appeal to people. As always though, I don't take photographs with the intention of framing them, or selling them - they're just for me, but it's nice to share sometimes.

i think you summed up what i was writing nicely there, ta!

A brilliant set as ever mate.

I think #5 is missing your usual style and flair. It's an interesting shot but there's something missing.

cheers :)

and, yeah - i agree about number 5. I wasn't too impressed with any of my shots from up there. I'll put up a couple more. I think it's because there was too much light!! (and i'm not keen on heights!)

I like most of these, #2 and 3 stand out the most for me. They have 'art' like qualities, if that makes sense.

The 'decay time' wording on the unit in #3 is very apt

As said #5 is maybe the weakest, for me it lacks something to really focus on.

you've got some balls mate! NHS aren't particularly good at getting rid of radiation sources in places like this, so I'm told.

Lovely lot of photos there, but I don't think I'd have gone in there!

Nice work GeX, the more i see of this urbEX stuff, the more i fancy it, is it actually legal entering these buildings?

the building was being stripped for demo, am fairly certain anything like that would've been removed before the demo crews had gone in :)

it is legal as long as you do not damage anything to get in, and when asked to leave by security - you do so, and are nice and polite with them. If you take tools with you, then it is not legal, as you'd be classed as going equiped.

Where / what is it?

three different sites. 1 and 2 are an old general hospital, 3 and 4 are a TV studio complex and 5+ are a sugar refinery.

I like #2 and #3. I'd like to see a few more angles of #1. I think you could get a lot of good shots of that :)

Nice pics. Thought I was looking at something from Half-life 2 for a while there!

Cant comment on the technical side as it all seems spot on, personally the first two stand out to me really showing decay and wasted resources. But the close up shots dont do a lot for me dont give an indication of where you are exploring and i would more than likely prefer them if i knew what the pictures where of, they just dont tell me enough! but a cracking set none the less
