Was going round a corner about 25mph and hit some diesel, it was mad I honestly though i'd just gone over some ice, just fell on my bum and the bike went sliding into the other lane in front of a bmw (don't worry the beemer was fine).

the bike was suprisingly undamaged, the left mirror is gone and the left back indicator other than it seems fine, though the handle bars seem a little squint, not very noticable though.

picked her up wheeled her over to the side and got her started again, no problem. :)

live and learn i suppose. :D

Hitting diesel is the worst as it just happens without warning. Good to hear it was the bike that slid in front of the BMW and not you! :) Make sure to get your bike checked out at a garage, in case your forks/frame are bent.

I will, anything else I should check?

I've had that happen to me before, though I was going a little too fast really and I should have spotted it, especially since the petrol station was right before the roundabout. I've learnt since then.

Good to know you're ok, as well as the bike being in good nick. As others have said get it checked out for bent forks, brakes and any other possible damage. I hope you now have the mandatory scratch on the crank case ;)

yeah I do now :D

It was a fairly soft crash (from what I can tell) and I've looked at the forks and they seem ok I'll get my dad to look at them though as hes crashed plenty in his time.

I really hope this isn't going to be expensive :(

Lol i can imagine the slip, i hope your okay dude, did anyone else make sure you were okay?

I was looking at getting a bike not long ago but i dont want a moped, i want a motorbike but you cant get anything faster than a 125cc until you pass your test am i right? And a they are pretty slow as from what i can see and i wouldnt want to spend more than around 600, so not much of a option to be honest.

Glad your okay though.

evil stuff, and councils aren't willing to do anything about buses overfilling and spilling this crap all over our roads.

iv hit some on a circle before, luckily i was going very slow behind a car and was able to hold the bike up as it went straight on without any hint of turning.

Glad you're alright, a mate came off last week and slid down the road and trashed all his gear but he's fine.

Unlucky m8 but glad your're OK. I fell off my CBR600 a few weeks back and am still pretty gutted. I have crash bungs thankfully but the tail piece of the fairing (custom on my bike) is in a pretty bad state :(

Apologies on behalf of the idiot trucker who decided to brim his fuel tank......

I never do this, but , alas, plenty of truck drivers do. :(
