[Gratuitous reminiscence]What discontinued food do you want back?

Meh, I never understood the cult following of mountain dew. There is a small shop in the Victoria Centre (Nottingham) that sells all imported US foods. All the foods they stopped selling over here and the US still produce so I tried some random things today. Jeeeez, mountain dew is rubbish. I don't see the appeal. Sure I can drink and mildly enjoy it, but I think people only like it because it's harder to come by...

Also, to clear up the choc dip debate, yes they do still produce white choc dips. The shop 10 seconds away sells them, chocolate/white chocolate/toffee. The latter two are rank in comparison.

Isn't it because it is more laden with caffeine than caffeine itself?

Rowntrees Fruit Gums and Pastilles before Nestle took over.

Is anyone else getting that sickly sugar overdose headache from just reading this thread?

Interesting point. Probably. I did drink my can over the period of half an hour or so, though and I'm not the biggest fan of caffeine anyway. Cheers!

Possibly mixing two ads up, it was definitely an ape of some sort, an orang-utang makes sense given that they're ginner. Tummy-tuck, buttock-suck all-over pluck was definitely a line in an ad though and although Google knows it its just a passing comment on some site, its not about the ad :(
What's an "orang-outang"?

KP used to do some nice Gammon flavour chrisps, they were great in a sandwich but they stopped making them about 15 years ago.

Also I'm sure Cadburys used to make chocolate coated nuts in a yellow packet the ice cream van that used to go around the streets sold them but again they stopped them probably about 17-18 years ago.

Slush Puppy. Probably still available, but i've not seen it lately. Sucking the flavouring/colouring out in 30 seconds and chucking the rest.

Not really read this thread but the first one that springs to mind is Potato Wheelz (round salt and vinegar crisp snack) think the only place I remember seeing them is Netto (no I don't shop there regularly :P)

anyone seen the lion bars at all lately? not by me.

"wild thing... (bew bew bew bew)... you make my heart sing...(bew bew bew bew)... you make eeeeverything, oooo babeh...... wild thing (bew bew bew bew bew bew..... bew bew bew bew....) wild thing I, think I love you... (RoAr!)

with the lion prancing about

Just a stab in the dark if i'm wrong i'll wonder back into my corner :p

You mean Kia Ora and Um Bongo (not um bumgo, though that is slightly amusing), they drink it in the Congo.
