Foglights - a lost cause

My foglights are built into the headlights on the Golf, shame really cos I wanna be cool too.

(personally I couldn't care less about foglights, they don't blind me even in the Elise and I'm practically sat on the floor - right at foglight level)

Erm...surely that's not foglights then? Aren't they meant to be as a low as possible in the bumper?

Hmmm, not too sure what to make of this :D

Front fogs don't really annoy, I actually find these new super-duper high brightness xenon/hids which burn the back of your retina more of an annoyance, oh and don't get me started in rear fogs :)

On a related point that has been posted previously, there's no such thing nowadays, apparently, as a Road Traffic Accident.

For the past few years, in my job as an RTC specialist with the Fire & Rescue Service, as well as the Police and the Ambo bods, have been calling them RTC's....Road Traffic Collisions.

Somebody, somewhere decided that this was the correct terminology to use.

No idea who. :p

Most GD'ers post 5 threads a week on which socks they should wear.

ROFL.....that's gotta be a "sigworthy" quote. :D

5 pages on foglights.... what a lonely and pathetic forum.

This is a motoring forum, we discuss motoring related topics. At the risk of sounding patronising, if thats not what floats your boat then GD is a couple of subforums above.

Although I wont make the mistake with this guy I made with the guy at the start of the thread :o

They dont bother me.

People that flash at me to tell me i have my headlights on annoy me more.

I know i have my headlights on, i switched them on, the van/car tells me i have them on with a little light on the dashboard and a buzzer when i open the door.

I have my lights on because it cuts down on the amount of people pulling out in front of me.

I have got to admit despite use of fogs being illegal in the wrong condition - I have never ever not once been blinded, distracted by someone with foglights on.

I just don't get it. Fogs are not a big deal. Sure I don't run with my fogs on because I have oem HIDs fitted (and adjusted properly). This seems to cause people to flash at me though.

HID's are worse than fogs for distraction/ being blinded yet they are legal.

My foglights are inside my headlamp clusters. I take it driving around with these on won't make me look cool :(

That's actually my car and I don't drive with my front fogs on

HID's don't bother me either, doesn't stop me getting flashed every now and again though

Interesting... do you drive on back roads much? I find fog lights aren't a problem for me on normal sized A roads. But on narrower back roads they are a total PITA.
