Just one according to the BBC

"Rig evacuated in security alert
An oil platform in the North Sea is being evacuated in a security alert, it has been confirmed.
It is understood that a total of 539 people are being taken off the facility in an operation involving 14 helicopters.

They are being transported to other rigs in the area.

The operation, 100 miles off the Aberdeen coast, began at 0920 GMT on Sunday and is being co-ordinated by Grampian Police.

A spokesman for Aberdeen Coastguard said it was a "large scale" operation and that two platforms were involved, but that just one was being evacuated."

Doesnt sound too good, thats a lot of people to evacuate. Hopefully it will be just a scare and nothing will happen.

bbc news 24 just mentioned something about a woman on top of a helipad! So maybe a Greenpeace activist strapped with explosives! My dad said the easiest option would be to sneak up and push her off :p

bbc news has changed it to 13 helicopters now

i saw 3 chinooks flying over the house earlier around 9:30, maybe they were heading up there.

i bet its not easy to sneak a bomb onto an oilrig like

i mean for a start you have to get onto it which i dont imagine is easy

obviously you've never played xbox 360's crackdown. A simple leap is all it takes.

didnt know it was a bomb but oh well - Im sure they would have had a log of who came on/ off the rig.
