They have a cave troll....

Also, the Bakshi animated version final battle pwns anything from the recent trilogy. When Gandalf comes back to save Theoden, then the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

I loved the Gandalf/Theoden scene, but are you talking about the same one? Where he lifts Sarumans curse? Or are you referring to this "Bakshi" thing?

I'm talking about the Ralph Bakshi version, with John Hurt as Aragorn. Brilliant.

There is no better animated/rotoscoped film.

Moria was great but my fav bits still have to be the whole of Helms Deep bits.

"Shall i describe it to you, or shall i find you a box" :p

the horns of the rohirrim as they come over the hill to join the battle of pelennor fields in RoTK is possibly my favourite moment of any film, the spine tingly feeling as they charge.

there you go

"Ride now, ride now, ride, ride for ruin and the world's ending!" Forth Eorlingas.

Amazing films, not as good as the books but that would be impossible.

I don't think the name was really worth mentioning in the films. It wouldn't really have added anything that was needed.
He has a name in the games though, and he's a rubbish hero :D

Arise now, arise, Riders of Théoden!
Dire deeds be awake, dark is it eastward.
Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded!
Forth Eorlingas!

The music, the words, the battle charge and Gandalf's arrival at dawn on the third day to save them all. Howard Shore's music really made this feel epic.
