I know they are considered as 'French tat', but I really feel that Renault, whilst not perfect by any means, get some things right.

Not sure of any other normal manufacturer that would do anything like this for someone, but guess it's not the first time something like this has been done.

Plus they seem to listen to criticisms of their 'sporty' cars and make them better with a million 'special editions' or revised versions :) (ok you could argue they should have got it right first time but still....)

Saw one of those in Norwich today! It definitely had that F1 team thing on the back!
 
Very nice motor and yes Renault have been on the "up" for many years now IMO :)

Remember when the 197 came out and there were quite a few complaints about the long gearing? They listened to that feedback and made a closer ratio box and put it into the Cup cars. When a company listens that is 90% of the work done!

Sort of, was more like the top gears were too short (i.e. silly rpm in 6th on the motorway) so they lengthened them on the newer models to lower the rpm in 6th :)
