i find this shocking, the old dear lived to 100, then gets killed by a family member over inheritence.

That is a shocking crime to commit and although I wouldn't go as far as our friend above, I do think it's a shame that hard labour isn't still an option in prisons - people who commit crimes like these should be made to suffer to a higher degree than simply being incarcerated.

Turner denied murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

The case was a retrial after the first jury could not agree.

She's probably arguing the intent thing, rather than anything else. You have to be guilty in mind as well as deed. If she only intended to scare her, but not to endanger her, then she is not guilty of that charge.

what i find shocking is that this woman is getting 20 years, but the chavscum who killed a truckdriver is getting 40 months, one sixth of the time!
