I am shortly going to be taking delivery of my new PC, which will have the Intel Q6600, Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 motherboard and all will be enclosed in the Gigabyte Aurora 3D case which has 2x 120mm fans at the rear and one 120mm fan at the front.
I am wanting to over clock my Q6600 G0 stepping SLACR processor to around 3.4Ghz if possible. I can only presume that with them been no mention on the customisation options when I was choosing my components for my system that it will be coming with the standard Intel CPU cooler that comes with the Q6600. Correct me if I'm wrong but, to overclock to 3.4Ghz with the standard Intel CPU cooler may not be possible (or wise), so I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good CPU cooler that can be fitted with out the need to remove the Motherboard as I really don't want to do this. So far I am considering the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, I will add though that I have never fitted a CPU cooler before, about the most I have done with a PC is fit memory, CD/DVD drives. I was wondering is it an easy job to do replacing a CPU cooler or is it best to get a system builder to do this, especially with me having a lack of experience in this?
