03 Seat Leon Cupra R - Opinions

Er.....I know...its a lot of money. I was giving him an indication of the cost.

Sorry, thought you were saying that they weren't "that" much.

Ha Ha, I dont drive like a total loon, but the Golf is just boring to drive and with it being the 8v its sluggish. Thinking of this to spice it up a bit.

Just make sure you think about all aspects of running and maintaining it though, not just wanting one because its quicker.

Its not "just" quicker either, its in a different world.

Have you had yours remapped? If so has it made much of a difference and where did you get it done, as Im not far from you (Winsford)

Yes, mine is running 260BHP~. Don't know where mine was done as it was done by the previous owner.

If you are looking for a good specialist, and that does REVO remaps, go to Votex in Congleton.

EDIT: The remap makes a noticable difference to mid range pull, and doesn't really affect fuel consumption. Most people just say "get it done". But go for the free 4hr trial before you jump in.

Cheers, just looking on the Votex website, they do a 5 hour REVO trial, that maybe worth looking into, how much roughly are REVO remaps?

EDIT _ Found it now, 210-265 is £499

EDIT2 £499 + VAT :o

hey there, Just bought a 03 LCR last week :) ovni yellow but paid a bit more than you did 6800 pounds. paradigm is your man for the lcr know how tyres aint that bad been quoted 100 quid dead a corner for gsd3's servicing aint too bad(planning on using my local specialist star performance rather than the local stealers) Brake parts do look eye wateringly expensive for decent brands(have a look at some of the aftermarket pads and disks to make your wallet cry. overall a rather brisk practical car :) DO IT :)

Is that their own map, or a reseller of someone elses product? (revo/jabba/etc)

The branded stuff is proven on a wide scale, and with a large reseller network for if you have problems away from home. I know I'd pay the little extra for the peice of mind.

Not that there would be anything inherantly wrong with a small remapper's custom map.

star performance have been doing vags for donkeys (probably one of the best vag specialists in the uk

www.starperformance.co.uk

got a good rep (used them myself in the past as well) that and their just 45 minutes away helps too :)

Both links are the same btw.

Definetly register with seatcupra.net. They are an invaluable source of help and info.
I registered only yesterday and the people are very friendly. :)

And check for leaks, dampness everywhere you can (footwells, door seals, boot, rear wiper area.
I just bought a fully working Cupra and within 24 hours, a lot of internal electrics have stopped working.
