Its been up and running for a few months now and ive got it stocked as i like it so i thought id show it off , its only a small tank (28L) as i havent really got the room at the moment and its big enough for the tetras anyway. heres some shots

Currently got 10 Black neons, 7 Neons, 4 Glowlights (1 died) 2 Marble sucking loach's and 2 Panda Catfish. i think i will get a couple more of the glowlights to make the group feel more secure but these should last me for a good few years

Your Panda catfish looks a lot like a corydhoras, and your loach looks very like an ottocinclus :p
I could be wrong though, either way their lovely fish!
I have lots and lots of neons in my tank too, love em to bits :) Have you let them nibble yer fingers yet? :D It tickles!

got a 190 litre juwel trigon myself, primeraly a barb and tetra tank.

seems like we have a lot of fish keepers here, we should have a tank photo thread:)

photos from last year some time when i first started the tank (although changed loads since):

super tank jonno, id love to have one that size just a bit too expensive and not enough room. I couldnt pick your brains for a sec could i? the fish have been in just coming up to a month and the tank needs a proper clean ive don water changes and wiped the glass down but this will be the first proper clean with the fish in so i was wondering whats the best way to clean out all the gravel & stones? is it best to take the fish out and clean it that way or ive seen gravel vacuums which would suck the muck out, what are these like. im just wondering which will be the best for the fish :)

awww, you make me want another marine tank even more now lol, i've been a fishkeeper on and off for about 20 years now, had 2 marine tanks until a couple of years ago and regret having a clear out, i'm currently looking at a tank and cupboard at Maidenhead aquatics in Strikes at Stokesley (if you know it), it's £279 but looks great, think that's next on my list of wants, complete with either a T5 lighting setup or some proper Metal halides for coral growth.

you say you have had the tanik under a month and have had a fish die, have you cycled your tank yet? If not then this could explain your death and could lead to more!

just use a gravel vac from your local fish shop :) never, ever wash your filter sponges in tap water as this will kill the bacteria that keep the tank clean! a dirty filter is a happy filter as they say :)

I always found the best way was to use a siphon tube with a larger tube (about 6cm diameter plastic tube of about 20cm length) at the botton that sucks up the gravel into the big tube then drops the gravel it as the suction drops, but sucks up the water and bits of poo. Your local fish shop probably sells them for about £5-10ish. I assume that's what you mean. They're really good, I'd recommend them. Don't forget to clean the filter as well. :)

I thought tap water was okay so long as it wasn tepid rather than cold?

haha just make sure you put in compatible fish as i made that mistake.had a red tailed shark(black in colour). who was a git chased everything like mad.had about thirty neons differen types.a silver shark.tiger barbs , there gits cause they nip of fishes tails.

I agree with some of the other comments. Get rid of the coloured gravel and put some natural gravel in, also get rid of the bridge and put either natural stone in or a nice log.
