Do these scores look ok for a 3870 @ stock?

Intel Celeron 430@3509Mhz / 8800GS 384mb - 3dmark 05 : 15388

Intel E8400@3504Mhz / 8800GS 384mb - 3dmark 05 : 20026

It can make quite a big difference :)

I was thinking of upgrading my system next yr, but I might do it sooner, but I wont see a huge diff in games if I upgrade now tho, will I, cos for the recent games its the graphics card that bottlenecking, not the cpu?

it depends what res your playing at, really.... u need a balance between the cpu and graphic card.

Is your 3870 overclocked?

Also remember, 3dmark doesn't necessarily correspond with game performance. The CPU scores make up a large part of the test; this doesn't really matter with the latest FPS games.
