My 1530 delayed..To paraphrase dell:

"We know you ordered your laptop 3 weeks ago, and we assured you it would be there this week, but we've just suddenly realised we're mainly shipping components to the states as we prefer them as customers and we like them to get their laptops in about 3 days so we reckon we'll get your laptop in about another month or so. Still, have fun..."

Boo-urns...

Thats bad shock33, what were the specs that you ordered? I ordered mine on 30/01/2008 its been in pre-production ever since.

With the panels its been like that awhile with the screen size.. but you need to select the highest priced preconfiged M1530 to get the option. Bad dell.

Ordered mine around the 25th or something, original estimated date was the 14/2, now 7/3. Bit of a bugger as I'm on holiday then!

Specs were pretty much standard except I went for the 1440 screen, which seems to be what just about everyone has opted for (particularly in the states thanks to the scare stories on "grainy screens" on the other resolutions).

Seriously considering cancelling now and getting something else...

Bad time, there's been a big demand for the 1530, particularly as they've now phased out the 1520 so this XPS range is the only one with dedicated graphics (excluding the vostros etc).

Has dell always been like this or is this a particular bad time for them?
The demand for the 1330 and 1530 over Christmas was colossal. I reckon they're only just beginning to get past those. However the order in which they're processing orders isn't on a first come/served basis.

Just got this in the dell outlet .

It doesnt say bluetooth on the spec sheet, but someone told me that if it has wireless, then it will have bluetooth as standard ? Any ideas ?

Looks, like mine is going to come with 2 x 512mb sticks. Can I change just one of them , or should I change both. Will I take a performance hit if I have different sized memory in each bank ?
