i have a vista key from work, (well should do via email soon) however we have no disc's i have been told to get a disc or download and then enter the code. i can't see it on the ms site, anyone know if this is possible?

you could download (illegally) from somewhere, the key would work fine

or in work they may have an msdn subscription where they can download the iso from

from what i understand the IT guy says we have an imagie on the server, but i can't find it. he's on leave til monday. He said to download it and the key will work. is this on the windows site? am i being dumb?

I think you can only download the VM image of Vista on the MS site, so no.

As above MSDN can download full versions of Vista, can you borrow a disk of someone?

The only option is to nab a ISO of Vista from a torrent site and register it with a legal key. Cant imagine microsoft caring much which install medium you use just the Key.

I'm sure someone posted a link to a trial version of Vista on these forums. I've done a search but I can't find the post anymore. :(

yeah i thought you could get trail version, and after 90 days you gotta stick a key in... which i have! - might have to wait to monday, but would really like to resolve it, the IT guy is on leave this week, so i can't contact him about this. if anyone finds anything let me know!

Yup. I'm pretty positive there's one for Vista as well. Because I remember Burnsy replying and he didn't know about it either.

From what I remember, the download was for a Virtiual Machine image and included Office 2007. There isn't a traditional trial to the best of my knowledge.

XP 64 is somewhat of a oneoff trial :)
