Higher overclock/lower temps?

I've just upped my overclock a tad from 3.0 to 3.1GHz. I also increased the CPU voltage to 1.2750 and the DDR voltage to 2.2. I hadn't realized that I was undervolting my RAM at 1.8v.
Anyway I expected to see an increase in overall temps but instead they appear to have dropped a couple of degrees across all cores. Coretemps is showing 34-33-34-31
Any ideas why this is?

Also, you might have been running the computer for a few hours before, maybe playing a game...a few minutes/hours of cooling off and the temps can go down.
