Say he had won £2million, doubt he would be too pleased if the Bookmaker asked for the winnings back on the grounds that "we made a mistake and didnt exclude you".

Gambling addiction is a medical problem to the point that some people just can't help themselves. Does that make it alright for others to rip them off?

The self banning thing could work better if there was a central register and all bookmakers were made to check ID on bets made before they were allowed to take any money. Even casino's need ID for membership so i don't see why not.

I saw this on the news, it seems he had already lost most of his money before asking them to deny his gambling requests. Then gambled a bit more and expects £2M.

he should have gone or been pointed towards physiological help then, people who have addictions know they have an addiction, its called willpower if you want to quit, "medical" seems a petty excuse considering how much time there is from getting your coat to going to the branch to placing a bet
