woohoo. lvl 7.. for got how good this game was. Yeah I know the starting areas are pretty dire and you have to get them over and done with, but hey.. Not seen anyone yet low level. Might be the time of day.
 
Most classes don't get really interesting until at least level 10 where talents come into play. Some don't become fun until certain spells / talents become available. I'd give it to level 20 to really get a feel for it.

Early Priest levelling is shadow word pain, smite, smite, smite, repeat for another mob and then drink. During levels 10-14 you need to get 5 points in Spirit Tap, which basically eliminates the need to drink if you use your spells wisely. At level 20 you can get Mind Flay (the wise Priest levels with everything in the Shadow tree up till level 50) which improves things a lot. At level 40 you get Shadow Form. At that stage, the Priest is the hardiest class I've played (I've played most). If you have to, you can take on 4 same-level mobs at once (maybe 5 if you have the mana), by dot-fear kiting though it's not to be recommended.

Still, if you're not really enjoying the Priest, it might be best to try something else out. What part of it exactly aren't you enjoying?

The two characters ive got in the past to a decent level have been a warrior and hunter, which im using weapons rather than mana to use as attack, i just find it a little dull waiting for the mana to charge up.

I really want to be able to do some cool spells :D

You can try a mage. But it would probably come to the same problem. Im lvl51 and have around 4k (buffed) mana and i need to take a break after killing around 3-5 high level mobs. A bit annoying at times, but the damage is great.

I've played a Warlock up to level 20 and at that stage (I don't believe it changes either), they aren't mana limited. It's really easy to chain pull mobs, draining life, fearing, life tapping etc to keep yourself going.

The Mage is my favourite class but don't try one if you don't like the drinking part of the game. During parts of levelling you'll have to spend 20-30 seconds drinking after every 2 mobs. Kitted up and at level 70, I can kill lots of mobs per mana bar though.
 
The Shadowpriest (pre nerfs in TBC) is the only class I've played that has genuine no down time (and I've levelled up a Mage and a Warlock).

With Spirit Tap and dotting up to 5 mobs at a time with SW:P and VT then MF, you could just go on for ever.
 
Any one on WoW now? Im droolinggimp (search for me) I am in Skull rock outside Ogrimmar trying to get that insignia thing. Damn lvl 14 minion doing my head in..

Could do with some help if anyone is on now.. Lvl 11 orc hunter with Boar
 
not been on as much this week, off saturday but going paintballing so im going to miss out there, might be on a bit later tonight and tomorrow morning if anyone around the level 30 mark is on :)

We should team up and do some questing together - I've got to say that Quest is particularly difficult as if you attack the little goblin person direct, it pulls all the others...then you die :(

Whats your name in game? Mine is Oscarium (lvl 16 Orc Hunter) - add me, and we can do some questing over the weekend? Will you be on anytime soon?

Im only level 9, but its been a bit dull so far, when does it start to improve?

my shammy didnt get fun untill level 40, now its the bestthing ever! i kill everything that hits me within about 5-10 seconds, sometimes quicker if i get a nice crit :D

shadow priests are much the same :) shadowform is your friend!
