FREE Next Day Shipping from OcUK (Orders over £39.99 Inc. VAT)!!!!

ocuk should do free delivery for forum members with x posts if they spend over £75 or £100, like #### and #####.### forums have got going on, it attracts a LOT more custom

i'm often put off from ordering from you guys when ordering say only two items, due to the delivery cost being steeper than the competitor

over the years i've spent thousands at ocuk, especially when doing system builds for people, having a dangling carot would help keep my custom :)

surely you should edit the smiley face logo from that box :p

Has the free delivery offer now expired?

Did OcUK ever specify how "limited" the "limited offer" was ... if I'd seen something saying it would expire in 48hours or something like that then I'd have probably placed an order for some stuff yesterday but as I saw no end date I'd assume that it would be around for a few more days so didn't bother in time. The result is that it now feels to me like a price rise!

not impressed

Well I gave this a try and it seems the ppl @ ocuk forgot to mention how long it takes to put something in a box.
If you put an order in on day x you expect next day delivery to be day x+1
not x+1 +y, where y is some unspecified time it takes to put the stuff in a box.

Don't get me wrong. I dont expect y to be 0 just on the small side- say a couple of hours - such that the next day thing is still next day.

Best service I ever had was when I spent 3 years in California ... decided to buy a laptop and found best price on web was from an east coast company. After a bit of dithering decided to place an order one friday night ... saw website claimed next day delivery for orders placed before midnight east coast time - I ordered at around 23:55 EST (8:55 PST) ... as it was friday I assumed that at best next day meant monday and in reality I was expecting tuesday. However, we were out Saturday morning and returned midday to find a tag on the door saying a package had been delivered to a neighbour.

Looking at the tracking details found it had been delivered (on a saturday!) 15 hours after I placed the order ... and order had gone from east coast to a warehouse collocated with a DHL depot at an airport in one of the mid-american states, been airfreighted to San Francisco or San Jose then put on van there.

Forgot to add, pretty sure the delivery was free as well!

Wow - thats the kind of service I would expect out of the germans not the americans :)

I was just about to order the 2x2gb of OCZ Reaper Ram on offer and a Pioneer dvd writer, but I am certainly not paying £9 shipping. Surely somebody should have told us just how limited this offer was - what was it 2 days??

Spam would go through the roof.

Its no wonder it got pulled as its not really anything special these days to offer free delivery as other places have been doing it for months, ocuk should have done this along time ago.

My guess is that they have lost customers who now shop elseware to take advantage of 24/7 free delivery.

on the web site it says Express delivery from £2.49+ vat,
Has any one ever had something delivered at that price.
I just did a quick test to see how much delivery for a £12 mouse >> £8 lol

Even the free delivery could not tempt me back to buy

Was nice, they should have at least put it on for a week or similar. Was considering buying the motherboard I wanted here, but now, it ain't worth it until a special comes on, or they do this again.
