OH MY GOD!! Hes Gonna ShooT!!!111!

Your really funny.

Then (like in America now) they implant you with a RFID chip to monitor you and they can use it to control you.

Anndd *inhale.....*

ha*
*And breathe..*

If you don't like the governments set of rules and you are seen as part of the protest, they disable your chip, you get no wages, no NHS, nothing

You mean like they can do now with your NI number and a picture of you/a quick walk home or survey question?
Which would be followed by the nigh on immediate reinstatement of your "chip" after you spoke to the news paper, or if the protest was of any particular size then the odd susspision of 5000+ people suddenly losing their chip which would result in a little thing called an uprising/investigation (depending on how British we feel) ending with the Queen dismissing the PM or his head being beaten open on the steps of parliament before being hoisted on a lampost.

What you should ask is, do you TRUST them with such sensitive data about YOU? Of course they never make mistakes or even lose data do they? So what have you got to worry about...

It's worse than that. Not only does it require complete trust in all the people who have access and control over the data now, it requires that trust in everyone who will ever have access and control at any time in the future.

The central database is a criminal's dream. It will not be secure, even without the fact that the authorities lose confidential information to an extent that would be a joke if it wasn't serious. It will be abused, because that degree of power always is. It will contain inaccurate information, because of the scale of it and the way data is entered. It will enable a degree of identity fraud that is currently impossible. All that is true even if the authorities are to be trusted now and for all time.

It's a very expensive way to make things a lot worse. Big brother will not protect you.

But if a criminal does get a hold of the record of your DNA its not like they can do anything worthwhile with it.

If a criminal gets what is considered to be the absolute proof of your identity, plus a very large amount of information about you, they can make use of it.

Well the fact you still have your DNA in you and they just have a collection of black lines on some paper, nothing much has changed. and the rest of the info is already recorded, there is very little you could do illegally with a DNA record and or an iris record, without some of your DNA but then they can do that now and not bother with the record at all, or your eyes, in which case them having your Iris scan is the least of your worries.

I've just noticed your sig. is about identity theft. It isn't identity theft (your identity isn't stolen), but that's another argument. A central database that's considered to be the definitive source of data on you would make a much more complete "identity theft" possible because of the difficulty of challenging it. Especially after most of the records have been left on a train/in a skip/who knows where. Or someone has bribed or coerced a data entry person into making a false entry on your record. Or it just happens by mistake. Or someone gains unauthorised access and changes whatever they feel like changing.

but if they switched the DNA on their record with yours, a quick test would prove it wrong and they would still need a sample of your DNA to plant at the crime scene which they could now and still not have to bother changing the records, a central database of DNA or Iris data etc, would be pretty pointless thing to bother breaching.

Or if they switched the DNA on your record with theirs, they would have complete access to your money at the least, since the system would show that they were you. "Identity theft" done much more effectively.

what would they have access to your money o.O

Since when did banks use the criminal data bases for your pin number?

I know American companies have chipped employees, but that just means they can detect them within say 2m of a reader, I was laughing at the fact you think the government could use a chip to in any way control a person, without extensive brain surgery.

Oh no from your links it says the chips can only work 1 foot away from a specialised scanner.

Speaking of chips haven't you had your pet chipped? has this chip in anyway allowed you to control said pet? can you make him or her conga on command or any other amusing chip induced tricks?

Right. So no doubt they'll add a tamper proofing the same as the leg tracker we use currently. Riot Police and maybe even the army (based on your estimations) will be dispatched, you'll be arrested/rounded up and forced to have another put in, since it'll be against the law not to have one. And if you was to take it out you'd loose all types of abilities, no bank account, no travelling on public transport, you couldn't pay for anything. Just like the night club in the Netherlands, you swipe your hand to pay your tab.

Oh the queen will really stop the prime minister wont she.......Oh wait no she wont, why didn't she stop us from joining Europe against the opinions of the voters?

Its amazing, no wonder the country is in such a crap state when people like you are wondering the streets with there eyes closed.

If you honestly think the government could arrest several thousand people for taking part in a legal protest and the rest of the country including the police and military would just sure yup sounds good to us and would turn into an all out riot and civil war, your deluding your self.

The queen would stop it as it would be in breach of our laws, where as joining the EU was not.

Did i say control in the sense of mentally controlling??? No, did i put that anywhere, no.

If you don't like the governments set of rules and you are seen as part of the protest, they disable your chip, you get no wages, no NHS, nothing.

That is what i said, moron. Does that say "oh they will mind control you, huh ha"

I explained the type of control they would and do have in the form of controlling your bank accounts, private information, wages and other information.

RFID chip to monitor you and they can use it to control you.

and how would they do those things you say with out threatening you with them first which would mean that they would have to make it public = riot impeachment failed election etc.

And please keep the personal attacks to a minimum, wouldn't want to see you sent on a holiday.

No it wasn't against the law to join the EU, but over half of the country didn't want to. So in theory that's against HER people.

Well actually the government arrested that guy who was peacefully protesting outside parliament and made that a no protest zone, why wont they extend that "zone" under the pretence "to stop terrorism"

The government will make it law, they'll track you either through an implant or the ID cards.

Why am i deluding my self? Are we not at the crossroads now where government will introduce national ID cards?

but these chips have a maximum range of something like 2 meters, hardly useful for large scale tracking as well as being almost impossible to pick a person out of a crowd.

Why am i deluding my self?

Eh? how would i know?
