My car just got wheel clamped!!!

I bought it yesterday and my Insurance is Tesco's and there isn't a local office where I can get the insurance so that I can tax it.

There is this umbrella company working with DVLA who done this.

Do I still have to pay, even though I have a geniune reason not to have Road Tax?

Yes, because the offence is for not displaying a vaild disk.

You shouldn't of been driving with it without one...

@ B@Th*nG - Thats not the offence dude, he wasnt displaying the disk.. even if the car is taxed, you're not allowed to have the car on the public highway or repairable expense if the vehicle doesnt have a current Tax Disk..

You can tax it online these days. You don't need the insurance certificate in your hand as it will be on their database.
