Hey, so I'm looking for a cheap case that would be able to keep a...

possibly overclocked 4200+ x2
8600gt 512mb
2gb ddr2 ram

...cool. I have a 120mm fan that I can install if there is an available dock, so that would be nice.

So yeah, the best cheap case around? By cheap I mean probably no more than £40 (long shot i know)

I have the left side panel off my Zen to help airflow becasue my system is heavily overclocked, but you probly won't need to do that normally.

Here's my akasa zen if it helps...

Looks quite nice actually, cheers vantorsen. Looks like that'll be the case I get. :P

Is there any more slots for 120mm fans on the Zen other than the ones that come with it?

don't get the X-blade. its a tacky plastic case. very flimsy aluminum design and no real cooling ability (relies on 80mm fans)

stick with well known manufacturers and well recommended cases. (the Zen looks nice)

Okay will do, thanks.

nope.

you don't get much air from the front fan either as it's largely blocked up by the front facia.

but the fans supplied are very quiet.

and the front audio panel doesn't work on mine either.

(it's yantorsen btw too :p)

I'd invest in a better 120mm fan for the rear; it will help bring down the temps as the fans that come with the case are quiet but don't shift that much air.

I'm interested how much difference it made? and what cooler are you using, because I was thinking of upgrading the fans.

what the akasa zen or the xblade ... agreed the xblade does look ugly in my eyes. i think the akasa zen looks well very nice indeed, nice and sleek.

Cant recommend the Sharkoon Rebel 9 Economy enough. Absolutely love the case, great airflow/cooling and spacious enough. Looks great in my humble opinion too :)
