Well the ones you can usually guess are on drugs probably are. There are a lot who are clean though, and tbh I dont really think drugs give you 'that' bigger advantage anyway. A guy on the street thinks an athlete on drugs is transformed from someone who rubbish to a world record holder in a couple of weeks.
If you rules say he can compete then he should be allowed

There would be an argument for just stopping drugs testing altogether and let them get on with it. At least it would be a level playing field and if people are prepared to risk their health to win a medal then so be it.
As for Chambers he served his ban so he must be selected and compete if his results justify it.

You could flip that around and say the bigger physique means he is heavier than he should be and therefore not as fast as he could be

I'm not entirely sure as it is just based on an impression I get but Dwain Chambers seems to have slimmed down a lot since a couple of years ago. I'm also not sure the advantages will be all that long lasting anyway, certainly not as long term as the stigma of being a known drugs cheat.
To the original point Dwain Chambers has served his ban and if he still wants to compete and qualifies 'clean' then I think he should be able to, David Millar the Scottish cyclist was/is allowed to compete after his drugs ban and is now an advocate against drug taking in sport.

Agree completely. Someone like you or I could train for 30 years and take all the drugs in the world and never be as good as Dwain Chambers pre-PEDs.
It also depends on the sport. Weight classes mean it's pointless to add too much muscle anyway, since you'll go up a class. And for things like sprinting, the goal is speed, not muscle size or leanness. Of course there are other PEDs than anabolics, but you get the drift.
I take PEDs but I don't compete, and wouldn't cheat in a local competition either, that breaks my own moral code. For me as a powerlifter, my last cycle took me from the 82.5kg to the 90kg weight class, making my lifts much, much worse than before, despite the increased strength

Rules are rules, and he broke them. At the same time, it was said today on the BBC coverage, that drugs used; can have long term advantages. So, if that's the case, surely there should be a long term ban. However, rules are in place, and he's served his ban, so he should be allowed to compete again I think.
One thing though, he wasn't invited to the Birmingham Norwich Union Grand Prix indoor meeting today, and rumour has it that he won't be invited to any other meetings throughout Europe this season. Rumour also has it, that he might have to make his way to events alone, pay for everything, but to me, that makes no sense, surely if he's selected for the team, they have to sort all that. Travelling together as a team is in the contract.
Was a good meeting today, Stephan Holm was jumping like crazy as usual, and Kelly Sutherton was great in some events also. Susanna Kallur ran very fast, and Bekele broke the World Record (Indoor) for the 2 Miles, that was very impressive

if Sutherton didn't have one of the most pathetic javelin throws I have ever seen she might have a chance at Beijing.
I think any drug cheats should receive a life ban and expect to be vilified in the press and hated by their ex-rivals.
But, as everyone else has pointed out, he has served his ban, he is sorting out the finances and is drug free, so he should be left alone to get on with his career again.
He has shown some serious determination to come back to the sport, knowing full well that he would be treated this way, shunned by his fellow athletes, negative publicity etc.
I'm not surprised by current/ex athletes wanting him to be banned, they've shown great determination, commitment and sacrifice getting where they were/are and drug free, I'd feel the same in their position.
