Heard about this fourth film been in developement last year, excellent supporting cast line up, hope this turns out to be a fun ride like previous three films.
I almost wet myself when the theme popped up. But, damn, Harrison is getting on a bit. And when he said the "I thought it was closer", it sounded like Clint Eastwood (the OAP) saying the line.
I was worried about Ford's age before the trailer, but I have renewed hope that it may not suck... In particular, the line where Ray Winstone and him are squaring up to some guards, and Ford comments that it won't be as easy as it use to.
So if they occasionally play on the fact that yes, he's older, rather than ignoring it, I'll be happy enough. And if it's better than Temple of Doom, that'll be an added bonus
Saying that, as long as they retain what made the originals fantastic (a sense of adventure and a good mix of realism / supernatural) then it'll be very watchable.
DH4.0 fell down because it was a 12 (or whatever) and "Yippie-kaiay Mother Superiour" doesn't really cut it as a catch phrase.
It was like watching the legendary ITV pre-watershed cut of Leathal Weapon; "Forget you! Airhead!"
I don't think that Indy4 will suffer the same problems. As for HF being older, that just gives him more opportunities to be world-weary and cynical, which is Indy's character to a T.
This looks absolutely superb, I can't wait. Harrison looks a hell of a lot better than I would have expected too. Hopefully Spielberg will work his magic once more! Roll on May.
