not really that portable though, kinda looks like a Heavy Machine gun. However also kinda cool
looks just like the auto shotguns that have been out since the 90's that no one uses because they aren't that useful.
looks like an old tommy gun with the bullet's replaced with shells

heavy machineguns are about 6 feet long and weigh between 20 and 200 kilograms.
the AA-12 is only a bit more clunky than say, a G36, and quite a lot lighter.
untill now. that was because the user still felt the full recoil of every round, but the AA-12's recoil management system is extremely effective, allowing (like i said) the weapon to easily be fired by a small child.
yes but, most armies never stock large numbers of shotguns as they are only used for breaching etc, where only 1-2 shots are needed, or the occasional special round or non-lethal round, which this probably wouldn't be able to fire due to them having far less power and so not being able to operate a semi auto mechanism, the two reasons the semi auto spas 12 retains a pump system.
oh aye, there's a good point.
then again, the annoying twit in the video makes a good point, current OPFOR find shotguns and other beastly weapons very scary, and this thing is perfect for F.I.S.H, which US forces are engaged in a lot at the moment (and which full sized battle-rifles, assault rifles and carbines are woefully inadequate at)
Looks a bit large for CQC.
True, but imagine the ability to pop a few of those fragmentation, or even the HE rounds, through a 3rd floor window of a hostile building.
Exactly, you simply don't need that much close range firepower, unless your getting attacked by hordes of beasts (or whatnot).
Then you wouldn't mind being sent into war with a 22 pistol then?
The more powerful guns you've got the better I say!
Looks a bit large for CQC.
