The Xbox3 will not use a wiimote control, I'm fairly certain of that. You don't have to look very far to find a lot of serious gamers giving opinions on controls, the majority of whom prefer a control pad to a motion device.If they can improve on the wiimote and give something that doesn't feel like such a gimmick to the more serious gamers out there then I wouldn't mind, but I think another controller is the way to go.
A lot of gamers have hammered Sony for the Six-Axis and Nintendo for the Wiimote, Microsoft aren't truly ignorant of rival machines (just to their own reliability).
It depends whether MS want to chase the niche market they and sony are in or target everyone though.
