The Return of The Champions League - *SPOILERS* - 19/20 Feb

29:30 on the clock for a decent replay for those that can (and care to) try to see the foul again.

Dare say it'll be on youtube sooner or later though.

Again, there are no rules. Only laws. Before being condescending ensure you know what you're talking about.

Yep, I've played a lot of football. Tell me you weren't fooled by Torres's dive too. The ref has an excuse, he doesn't get to see replays.

Go and put the word "rules" into a thesaurus. Tell me what else comes up...the fact that you are saying they're rules and not laws is petty since they practically mean the same thing ;). http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesAndRegulations/.

I didn't consider Torres falling over in the decision whatsoever, and neither did / should the referee. Whether Torres stood up, fell over, or did a handstand whilst whistling waltzing matilda has no bearing on whether or not MM had his hands all over his shirt.

Absolutely disgusting performance from the referee.

2 yellows for absolutely nothing, as the commentator said, he's a homer.
Liverpool all puff and bluster and no threat, Inter cant get the ball because as soon as they put a challenge in the ref is blowing up for a foul.
I can see it getting to 60 odd minutes and then Gerrard and Torres will start throwing themselves all over the place in the box.

Torres fell over intentionally to win a free kick. So in other words he dived. Are you really trying to say he didn't?

Agreed. I think he did more than that even. Watch when MM is apparently "pulling" him back Torres makes it look worse than it is tbh. Slight tug on him, torres gets ahead slightly (no tugging at that stage) but decides to fall over? He doesnt need to do it he's a quality player.

And seriously...grabbing shirts happens in just about every game i have ever watched.. no yellows issued.. why because that would be stupid.

It would be like the police trying to pull over everyone going over 70 on the motorway... bad example but you get my drift :D

I don't know if he dived or not, there's a grey area between diving and simply falling over. I'm not asserting whether or not he dived, I'm arguing that MM should have been yellow carded for grabbing his shirt. Which he was :).

The 2nd yellow was pretty harsh but who cares? :p

May be worth taking Lucas and Kuyt off, bringing Pennant and Crouch on and going 4-4-2.

My lord seeing that first foul again... how the hell he got a card for that when you see some of the horror tackles week in and week out in the Premiership is utterly despicable.

Still, you were being condescending and you were wrong. Grow up.

...and yet Torres should be booked for simulation.

In addition the decision would not have been given had Torres not dived.

The first booking is an absolutely shocking decision. One of the worst decisions I've ever seen. The second booking was also nothing, but not quite as bad as the first.

I don't see a shirt pull, I see a hand on a shoulder, negligible contact and Torres goes down seconds later. That is a dive.

That's exactly what happened.
No it isn't.

torres deserved a yellow for the dive - no way was he going down because of the "pull"

ref is having a shocker - think the crowd is getting to him

Liverpool have had what 1 chance on goal?

Milan have been pretty comfortable for most of it, even with little possession

Why should he stay on his feet when he's being pulled back, no matter how hard he's being pulled? Mascherano was being fouled and stayed on his feet and ended up losing the ball and got nothing.
