I fail to see how [Window Licker] is a good video?!

[...]
A breathtaking three-minute non-musical exposition almost unheard of in the medium [see also Thriller, which must have been some influence].
Imagery that's synchronised to the music [surprisingly rare, considering].
Wit.
Beautiful cinematography/design values.
The satirical side-swipe at the sexism endemic in contemporary hip-hop/gangsta rap videos.
Choreography that's actually interesting to look at without resorting to moonwalk-style gimmickry [also: is the umbrella-waggling phallic symbolism really that different to the crotch-grabbing antics of Mr Jackson?]; also satirical.
The visuals reflect the quirkiness of the artist's music and his ethos.
It doesn't feature musicians playing [the single most unimaginative/easy/cheap video 'technique' ever; watch a video channel for an hour and see how many times it pops up].
It manages to give a distinctive voice and identity to an instrumental piece of music; would the same song have been so popular/successful if it had been released with a squiggly CGI 'electronic future, ooo-eee-ooo' style video? Nadgers would it!
Will that do ya?
