im stuck on lou on hard, fist time i thought it was bugged as i wernt getting any battle attacks, but i got one about half way through but it was in a mad solo part so i couldnt get it. then he hit me with double notes and i didnt have a chance.

how do you see total career score?
when your looking at the set list at the bottom is that just your score for that difficulty?

Anyone noticed a difference in timing between PS2 and Wii etc?

Songs I find straightforward on the Wii I find the timing is slightly out when I play on my friend's PS2.

Could be due to his TV, there is an option to adjust the auido/video calibration on the game.

Actually my mate keeps mentioning that he finds the game far easier on his brothers wii than his PS2 or my 360. Any chance they've made it easier for the ....younger audience?

OMFG been playing this on PC with custom song "Dismembered Self-Immolation" by Necrophagist...CUSTOM SONGS OH GOD...it's great.

Got bored of the 360 version so went for PC for the customs, over 5000 custom songs me thinks I will be occupied for a while.

Also theres much more metal songs on the website I'm using for customs, which Guitar Hero lacks.

were does it say your total carear score? and is there anywere u can find out how many note you have played for the 250,000 notes achievement?

kept messing up at 280ish notes trying to hard, then got it and 5 gold stared it.

what songs have people got the 700,000 pairs score on? it possible on one medium/medium with no mess ups?

Geez just managed to 5 star message in a bottle after god knows how many tries. So rewarding when I finally managed to nail the pace of the long line of chords, green/yellow and the red/blue changeover. That was killing my multiplier, and I've gone from 3 star at about 40k to just over 180k.

Blimey thats going some, how good where you when you first tried it. Was it medium for day one, then work your way up?

When I very first played GH2, it was the ps2 version, and I failed a song on easy, that was just over a year ago. Got it for the 360 in April, and worked my way through easy in a day, 5 staring them all. Completed medium the next day, 5 staring them all a week later. Finished Hard shortly after that, then took another few months for expert.

So in the period of about a month really, I'd worked my way to beating hard.

Just 5 stars, 5 gold is a looong way of, only got 4 at the moment.

Is it a general view that 3 is much harder than 2? I've basically in a day or two almost 5 *'d all but the final two tiers on medium on GH2. Yet just trying from the beginning again on GH3 on medium and I could only 5 star 3 of the first 10 tracks.

Stuff like Baracuda I just cannot get the timing right on the long lines of the same notes

I have no problem hitting 95% of the notes on just about anything on medium it's those damn lines that kill me every time. It's so often right in the middle of a string I wonder if the guitar is knackered

3 has harder charts, but the game is actually easier. Don't worry if you can't 5* them, it is harder to do so.

Do you mean the scores are harder to achieve in 3? I can finish the career at medium I thought Before I stepped it up a notch on both games I'd try to 5 star every track on both games.

Might try practicing strumming up and down to see if that helps with the lines of notes.

It was up and down strumming that made medium 10 times easier to 5 star for me. Barracuda on medium is extremely easy to 5* once you have the timing down.

Might be worth playing around with the calibration to see if that helps.

DO everything else fine, it sucks.

Yeah on medium they are pretty much the only notes I miss now. All the fast changes I can get but a line of over 5 notes and i'm screwed

Brok is that just calibration for the wireless guitar? Never even thought about that. Is is lag your calibrating out? Would it be worth trying the wired one?

Surely though if i'm hitting the other notes fine then the set up is correct?

It might be worth going through the calibration, It's your display you're calibrating as there can be a slight delay on some screens.

Wired or wireless guitar makes no difference.

Ah ok I dont think it's that then as I can hit the other notes perfectly. I must be just struggling with timing.

Nice, I've got KoC (currently 4*), Number of the Beast (currently 4*) and Raining Blood to do (currently 3*) Thing is I can't ever see myself 5*ing Raining Blood so I don't think im really going to put much effort into it.
