The Return of The Champions League - *SPOILERS* - 19/20 Feb

I think SAF got things wrong tonight (yet again away in Europe).
He needs to have more faith in his players.
Had we started with our usual system we would have won that game.
We should only really consider messing about with what is a winning formula against the very best teams. Lyon are not such a team.
Rooney up front alone worked against Arsenal because Nani, Fletcher and Park got forward and gave him support.
He didn't get that today from Giggs, Ronaldo or Scholes and so he never looked a threat.
Giggs in general was poor again. Scholes wasn't great but he was being asked to do a job he hasnt done in a couple of years.

Much better tonight, a bit unlucky not to take a lead into the second leg I thought. Fabregas was pinging it about and Hleb was linking the play up well.

Heck, even Swiss Tony had one of those games where he looks like a proper player. Eduardo had another of his quiet nights, good do with getting RvP back next month.

Hopefully Toure won't be out for too long.

Doesnt really matter fact is we know how to win at the san siro and ac milan haven't won at the san siro this season

What? Milan have won all their home CL games this season, and have only lost 2 in the league.

Kaka was none existant tonight and milan had nothing to trouble us

I wouldn't be so confident if I were you, Milan have the exact same team as they had last season, remember the game at the San Siro against Utd? They were sublime.

They just have a knack of always getting it done in the CL, despite their age.

It aint a fortress and ac haven't won at the san siro this season iirc
Yes we have.

Unfortunatelly, i missed the game, only caught the tail end of the highlights with the pundits commenting.

How was the Arsenal game? Either side look more dangerous? Incidents?

Don't think an English team has ever beaten Milan at the San Siro, I don't fancy Arsenal after that result.

To be fair no team had ever beaten Real Madrid at the Berbabeu but we went there and won, and should have won by 4-5 goals to be fair. Although I realise this Milan side is a lot a lot better than that Real Madrid side.

Not sure about this one, but I don't think any team had beat Inter at the San Siro either, and we did.

That's the thing, If Arsenal can't score past them at home, I don't see them being able to do it away. I wouldn't be shocked to see Milan score a few at home at all.

Again, to be fair, it's not like we didn't score because we couldn't create anything, we did and should have had 2-3 goals for sure.

Feeling very deflated after Celtics performance.

Barca were very good in possession but thought we might have been good for the draw but we are just too bad at the back and gifted them a couple of easy goals. A shame as we were alright up top when we could get there I thought.
