Holday for 17 Years Olds...

Hey all,

Me and 4 of my mates are looking at going on holiday abroad this year (we went to lakes last year camping) but dont really know what the rules are on being under 18 and going on holday.

Can anyone enlighten us on the situation, one of my mates sugested you need written permission from your parents but I am sure atleast one of us will need to be 18 (I could be wrong).

Also if a holday is going to be possible then where would you recommend for a week away for a group of 5 17 year olds with good night life, we were thinking of Magaluf but are open to any suggestions.

Before anyone says 'why dont you just until one of you is 18, I am the first to be 18 but not until October'.

Hmm, as you are all under 18, perhaps somewhere like France/Spain/Greece? Fairly cheap, and groups of my friends go there regularly.

Me and my mates went to Newquay and we were all 17, take a look at going down there for a week?
 
Me and a friend went to spain when we were 15... he had an aunt out there so we didn't need to worry about renting a place, but all we needed to actually get there were our plane tickets and passport.

I would defo stay in Europe, though :)
 
A load of my friends (16/17 year olds) went to France and stayed in a hotel. Don't think there was anyone over 18 there...

I'm going to Spain and staying in a VERY nice villa (owned by the parents of one of the people going). If you can do this, I'd recommend it! I can't actually see any down sides of this.

Skegness. You can't go wrong with good old Skeggers. Always a winner.

Where ever you go, make sure you get bad sunburn on the first day, then spend the rest of your time wearing an england shirt, drunk, and constantly holding a can of Stella while swearing loudly at locals and urinating in the street.

Keep the British end up.

you don't need any written permission to go or rent a room. If you were going for your own villa and your all lads then you would have some problems. But if you just want a room or 2 at a holiday resort you will be fine.

I used to go away with my mates when i was 16 all the time and all of us were that age. It was always tenerife or kavos in corfu.
 
Shadow, are you suggesting we dont go for a package holiday and book the flight and hotel seperatly?
