I was playing earlier, its not a bad game. I think gt4 handling was more complex but online it was arcade only where as forza is still interesting

Thats the first time i've ever heard GT4's handling called complex.Forza2 makes it look like Pole Position when it comes to physics.

Are you sure you turned the driving aids off?

I'm a big GT fan but i have to agree, Forza does feel more realistic and the tyres feel stickier, cars feel heavier.

I've played GT5 prologue though and that feels a lot better than previous GT

I'm liking Forza 2, i didnt want to :p, but i am. Just wish i had the dualshock to play with, i get on with the pressure sensitive controllers a lot more than sticks and triggers.

braking and steering on one hand, while my other hand only has to handle 1 trigger....riiiiiiight

Be a real man and use manual gearbox, then your right hand has to do throttle and gear changes :p

Had Forza 2 for a few weeks now, and It's far better than GT3 and GT4, but GT and GT2 were awesome :p

A game with great potential, but sadly spoiled by not having enough tracks. You really get sick of driving the same few tracks over and over by the time you get to level 30. What's weird is that if you look through the list of tracks, many of them are rarely used, for some reason about 3 small tracks are used over and over for the leagues. Even when you reach the endurance races - same tiny boring tracks you've done a million times. Kinda spoils single player.

It's definitely a more advanced simulation than GT4 btw.

does that mean you have to use your middle finger on the trigger and index finger on the RB?

sounds bad

Nah, the gear change buttons are X for down and B for up, so index finger for throttle and thumb for shifting...

I don't think the game did suffer from a lack of tracks. To me, it was about mastering the tracks with the different cars. There are plenty of cars and the upgrading made it more about the control than different surroundings.

Yea thats the first thing I did, ditto for GT4 where as I get the impression most people did not go through all the options in the main menu and game menus to turn off gt4 auto assists. You had to do that every time you bought a new car or every car would understeer endlessly

Yea I like forza because of the online thing but so far my impression is its a bit too nice to the players. It can fishtail but usually your ok, you can almost always recover it.
What should be true is me sliding the car 180 all the time, its the first driving game Ive played for ages and I dont get to drive a 12cylinder TVR in real life that often. Its not as demanding or as involving as I found gt4 at the limit and Im not saying that was perfect, obviously not.

Some cars are better then others, the f40 was so easy but the 330 12 cyl job was much more interesting. It is good so first impressions are it is more polished then gt in every respect, a few rough edges would suit me more

So out of the games Ive played, I rate it over pgr3, below gt4 and below dc f355

Stick an oversized turbo on it then and keep standard road tyres on it, put the thing on skis. And maybe some pointless 22" rims to ruin that handling a little bit more. :D

Sounds like fun :) One of the most tunable cars in gt4 was a simple 300zx, we got it to like 700bhp and it was stupidly unstable. I then find out the 300zx does really hold some sort of production car world land speed record, something nuts like 260mph.

Yep just checked google:

Just dont try and do corners in it

You could tune the R32, R33 and R34 to 1,000bhp+ just with a stage 4 turbo.

ah never did that, cant remember but maybe I didnt like the basic skyline. Something like the dodge viper is my benchmark for a game, it is very nice to drive in forza tbh :)
