Yeah, it isn't unreasonable for it to come out now. another example is (i know i know) Insomniac. They had R:FOM out same time as GoW, they have released a full game and they plan to have R2 out in November. So it isn't unreasonable.

I was comparing the game to Halo - Halo 2 (almost 4 years) and Half life

Are we talking about what you meant in your head or what you actually posted? :p

In any case I was commenting in general on the 'OMG November is too soon' responses (even though I did only quote yours directly).

Has anyone else noticed on the gears of war site... The images to the right one of them has a text tag as "GOW2 for Windows"?

See I just get the feeling there has been MS pressure to get this game out this year. Naturally I have nothing to back this up but MS have a poor exclusive line up this year and the whole Blu ray thing is going to accelerate Sony sales.

If this game had been in the pipeline for a while surely they could have come up with a better teaser than that?

It looks like something they knocked up monday morning. Of course they have been tinkering with gears2 but I doubt it was going to be sheduled for release in 08.

How anyone can start getting moist between the legs after that teaser I'd never know. Felix with a chainsaw and a locust. As I say they made that monday morning.

Most of us thought Gears was a tech demo after release, I hope we dont get that feeling after 2 is released and they have spent the time giving us a finished article. Enemy/Team mate AI in GOW was as bad as it gets.

I'm really looking forward to this game, the online play was an added bonus for me last time around as I was a massive fan of how the single player game panned out!

Even though I thoroughly enjoyed Multiplayer, it just doesn't have the edge that I was looking for after playing PC games such as CS 1.6. I know they are totally different games, but the amount of "cutscene" and luck involved in GOW Multiplayer it was pretty poor!

Roll on and long live Epic!

Doesn't look that much better, BioShock already set new standards for water and that's not even fully UE3 as far as I know.

The 60 locust on screen is fairly cool though, but I bet a small fraction of them will be on screen at the same time in a proper game.

Well I think it's beautiful, and is 2nd most anticipated games (behind GTAIV) :D
 
Meh, Looks good, Deeper storyline would be a nice addition to this, and a longer running time. But fans, Don't cry about my comments like at the beginning of this thread, They are mine to make.
 
Just seen the video, looks fantastic, the destructible rubble and water effects look amazing. Can't wait for this to be released!
